Learn First Aid/CPR/AED

Is your CPR card about to expire, or have you ever wanted to learn CPR, Basic First Aid, or how to use an AED? Are you part of a department or student organization and want to feel prepared for any emergency? Now is your chance!

The Emergency and Disaster Health Systems (EDHS) and the Professional and Continuing Education (PACE) departments are now offering training in these skills. Participants will complete the coursework online and then attend a one-day hands-on, skills training and testing class.

These classes are intended for lay rescuers, community members, non-healthcare providers, individuals, student organizations, department faculty & staff – All are welcome!

We will be offering a morning and afternoon training sessions on each day. Seat are filled on a first come-first served basis. What you learn could save a life!

Course Location

The skill trainings will be held on UMBC campus at Sherman Hall in the EDHS department on the third floor in the West Wing. Trainings will be given a specific location when scheduled. We can also come to your department/location upon request.

These training sessions are open for full participation by all individuals regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, or any other protected category under applicable federal law, state law, and the University’s nondiscrimination policy.

Program Costs

This is a Hybrid AHA CPR course for Community members. There are costs associated with each part of the training course. lease make sure to choose your correct date & time on the calendar registration link.

Total Cost: $66.00

PART 2 is the in-person skills testing where students will participate in the hands on training and testing. The cost of this portion will be $45 made payable by check to UMBC OR cash only.

This payment MUST be submitted by the time of the training session.
